"You gain
strength,
courage, and
confidence by
every
experience in
which you
really stop to
look fear in the
face. You must
do the thing
which you
think you
think you
cannot do.
~Eleanor
Roosevelt~
When the writing bug strikes, then you know your journey has only begun, and
there are pitfalls along the way. Questions concerning writing are as plentiful as
the stories you come up with. And those, my friend, are endless.
While I write, self-editing is the hardest to resist. Until the bare bones of a first
draft is complete, turn off the self-editor and don't let her halt your artistic
endeavors. Relax. Write for yourself, what comes natural and from the heart.
Most of all - have fun in whatever you choose to write.
Information on plotting to finishing an idea for a short story or novel is just a click
away. Browse seasoned author sites and their how-to articles. Most writers are
more than happy to help you on your way to writing success. Literally hundreds of
writing sites are available. Below are a few sites I've visited and found them
invaluable. I hope some of the listings are of value to you.
"I could not,
at any age, be
content to
take my place
by the
fireside and
simply look
on. Life was
meant to be
lived.
Curiosity
must be kept
alive. One
must never,
for whatever
reason, turn
her back on
life."
Eleanor
Roosevelt ~
"Give a
man a fish;
you feed
him for a
day.
Teach a
man to
fish; you
feed him
for a
lifetime."
